Mid kent Water is responsible for providing the water supply to most parts of Kent. Since 2000, they have invested £100 million into new pipes and treatment works.

Nearly 90% of their water is taken from aquifiers - underground porous rocks, which are usually topped up by sustained winter rainfall. The remaining 10% is taken from the River Medway and Bewl Water Reservoir near Lamberhurst
